This 3,000 square foot office and showroom was built for a young California-based trading company providing custom Chinese-made textiles and piece goods to high-end U.S. retailers. The space is divided in its long dimension by a custom wood-and-glass wall, creating privacy while still allowing light in to the interior spaces. It is divided in its short dimension by a red lacquered wall, incorporating storage and defining the public versus private areas. Red, which symbolizes good luck, is also the color of their corporate logo.
