This 7,600 square foot house was built in the 1800s as a two story house with an unfinished attic. Previouly, a detached garage was added with a swimming pool located immediately behind the kitchen and all interior mouldings and details were removed. We maintained the original character of the exterior of the house while completely redoing the interior to match. We finished the third floor, creating additional living spaces, and added a slate roof. We attached a new two-car garage with a mudroom adjacent to the kitchen. In conjunction with a landscape designer, we reorganized the site, relocating the pool near the former garage, which we transformed into a pool house.
