This project was for a 400 square foot kitchen extension to a 1960s ranch house. The eating area is adjacent to the new 14-foot-high gridded window wall overlooking a contiguous nature preserve. We used a combination of brushed stainless steel and stained ash for the cabinets and the same marble used on the counters and floor covers the wall which separates the addition from the original house. To update the living room, while working within a limited budget, we designed slipcovers for the existing furniture.
